Geranium 'Splish-Splash'

Have some fun in the garden with playful Geranium 'Splish-Splash'! It bursts into bloom from late spring every year, each flower sploshed with spontaneous, carefree purple splatters – its presence in the garden is totally joyful. This cheery meadow cranesbill brings a touch of originality with its uniquely marked flowers. Each saucer-shaped flower of Geranium 'Splish-Splash' is an original, different to its neighbour, making a lovely, almost hand-painted ensemble held above fresh green, deeply divided foliage. Enjoy seeing this little artist at work for most of the summer, with flowers produced almost continuously from June through to August. Sometimes they bloom again in autumn if cut back in summer. Flowering in the summer months, Geranium 'Splish-Splash' will most certainly be a splashy character to liven up mixed borders in sun or partial shade. It’s lovely with other summer blooming perennials, around shrubs, or to bring life to patio containers. Forming an attractive mounded habit, this clump forming perennial gradually spreads out to fill a gap, each year the clump will return slightly larger than before. Thriving in most soil types, Geranium 'Splish-Splash' is an easy-going filler for gaps or for the edges of borders and patios. Like other meadow cranesbill, it’s also a great plant for pollinators, brining in bees and other useful insects, and is tough and resilient too, rarely troubled by pests or diseases.
