Pekko Hops Pekko Hop Profile Pekko® is a unique variety released by the ADHA breeding program (now Latitude 46), named for the Finnish god of farming. Pekko offers a complex bouquet of flavor that includes notes fresh lemongrass, lime, mint, sage and chamomile. Pekko invites creativity with potential for uncommon styles like saison, gose, or even a non-traditional pilsner. It also provides solid bittering potential with 13-19% alpha. Aromas: Fresh citrus, lemon, lime, cucumber, mint, sage, pineapple PEKKO® HOP SUBSTITUTIONS Pekko is an extremely unique variety that does not have many close substitutes. Sorachi Ace is comparable with lime and herbal elements. Idaho 7® also offers some similarities with bright lemon, but Idaho 7 tends to be much more fruit-forward than Pekko.
