Zephyranthes robustus

Often called the Argentine Rain Lily, it won’t surprise you to realize Zephyranthes syn. Habranthus robustus is a member of the Amaryllis family when it first opens its large soft pink blooms. The six very pale petals of this beautiful flower are highlighted with slightly bolder streaks down the centre or on the tips, strengthening the impact of this delicately coloured flower. The bright green centre rimmed with white is home to sunshine yellow anthers. Blue-green foliage about a foot or 25 cm long supports the long stems of the softly romantic rain lily flowers. Zephyranthes robustus is a low maintenance plant which thrives in medium sun.
