Most notably, this is a compact version of the classic and much-loved Buddleja, only growing to around 80cm in height once mature. So, if you have a small garden, a gap in a border or a large patio container to fill with low-maintenance colour, there’s no need to worry that it’ll get too big for its boots. Buddleja 'Little Ruby' is a small and resilient hardy shrub which will be adorned with pretty flowers from June until early autumn every year, each year becoming more bushy and prolific. With stunning silvery-green foliage from March until frosty November, it brings a cool contrast into the garden too.. It thrives in clay, sand and loamy soil, tolerates poor soil and loves a sunny site. Whilst it’s a tough cookie, Buddleja 'Little Ruby' will appreciate a more gentle start in a temporary pot to be grown on for a few months first if you’re planning on placing it into a permanent position with challenging growing conditions.
