Fold pre-washed, pressed fabric at the selvage. Align the ruler, cut a straight edge, then cut strips at the required width. Cut WOF binding strips the same way. The 24" length spans folded WOF fabric in one pass. Piece your blocks at the sewing machine. Sew the stripped pieces into your chosen block pattern. Chain-piece where possible for efficiency. Press seams before squaring up. Square up finished blocks with the 12.5" ruler. Place each pressed block on the cutting mat. Align the bold line for your target block size (e.g., 6.5" for a 6" finished block). Trim two sides, rotate the block, trim the remaining two sides. The ¼" seam allowance is built into every bold line — no calculating required. Slide completed blocks straight into the Project Bag.
