Dahlia 'Kick Off'

Enjoy dazzling sunset tones from the delightfully chunky and exuberant flowers of Dahlia 'Kick Off'. In hues of salmon pink and coppery orange with golden yellow undertones, these glowing blooms can’t fail to elevate the garden with their rich, warm colouring. We love seeing the radiance of 'Kick Off' contrasted against darker companions such as the dramatic near-black of Dahlia 'Night Queen' and the deep violet of Salvia 'Caradonna'. Throw in a buff-coloured ornamental grass such as Pennisetum 'Hameln' and you have yourself an instant designer combo! To kick off your dahlias with a head start, try potting the Dahlia 'Kick Off' tubers up as soon as they arrive, and, if this is before the last risk of frost has passed, keeping them in a cool, frost-free environment until it is safe to plant them outside (usually around mid to late May). Pinch out the growing tips when they reach around 20cm tall for extra bushy and floriferous plants.
