We are delighted to present this Highley Station Cattle Dock as one of the new models among our Winter 2022 British Railway Announcements. Cattle docks like this one were used to temporarily contain livestock that were being transported by train, and therefore appeared at many stations along a multitude of railway lines. As with real cattle docks, this model authentically displays a wooden pen on a raised platform to make it easier to herd animals onto wagons.
