This marks The Cruel Sea's first full-length album release in 23 years. Originally formed in 1989, The Cruel Sea gained fame with their groundbreaking albums, particularly  “The Honeymoon Is Over”, which solidified their place in Australian music history. The upcoming album features the classic lineup of Tex Perkins, Dan Rumour, Jim Elliott, and Ken Gormly, alongside long-time collaborator Matt Walker, who steps in for the late James Cruickshank. The album blends various musical influences honed over their 30+ year career. “Straight Into The Sun“ promises to deliver the rich, soulful vibes fans have come to love, infused with the band’s trademark dark humour.
